Apple update closes 273 security gaps, including one under attack

Apple users face a broad patching cycle covering 273 unique security issues across the company’s operating-system and development ecosystem. One issue in Screen Sharing Server is listed in CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. It can allow a network attacker to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials or user interaction. The release also addresses a critical Bluetooth issue spanning eight operating-system platforms and a code-execution risk involving malicious images.
For organizations with mixed Apple fleets, this is more than a routine laptop update. Teams may need to coordinate coverage across computers, phones, tablets, watches, televisions, headsets, browsers, and developer tools. The actively exploited Screen Sharing issue should receive priority wherever remote access is enabled. Leaders should expect a larger testing and validation workload than they would for a single-product release. Defenders should identify exposed Screen Sharing services and confirm update status across every managed device.
